The Sonoma Valley Hospital Foundation is a not-for-profit, public benefit corporation, chartered solely to raise money for the Sonoma Valley Hospital. The Foundation is the hospital’s chief fundraising arm. Since it’s founding in 1982, more than $2.5 million has been raised. Throughout the year it sponsors a variety of fundraising events, which help support and equip the hospital.
In 2006, the Foundation inaugurated the Women’s Health Initiative, with the mission to build a program of services and resources to meet the health and wellness needs of the women of Sonoma Valley. Among it's many other projects, the Foundation has raised money for capital improvements to the Birth Center and to purchase both digital mammography and bone density equipment for the Women's Center at Sonoma Valley Hospital.
To keep the Carolyn J. Stone Center for Women's Health and Wellness strong and vital, philanthropy and community support is essential.
